Animatic - Storyboard



Above is the animatic for our music video . We took pictures of all of our storyboards and then individually print screened each section that we needed; after we had done that we took the musical composition choice of 'The Pretender' and edited it together with the pictures utilising Final Cut Pro. This is our first endeavor of making an animatic, we all felt that it worked well with timing the music to each shot, however, some components can be discombobulating if you don't know the correct context.

Journal Post:

After capturing our first few pieces of narrative and performance footage; we made changes and did not completely follow the initial storyboard/animatic which we created beforehand. We thought it was necessary to make changes from our own perspectives and the feedback we received influenced our perception of making change to our music video. Therefore, we made alternative choices for our music video production.

Storyboard

























































As a group we manifested our ideas together and made a storyboard for our music video; once we collaborated our concepts together, we attempted to draw out a plan for our initial storyboard. We will put our storyboard together in a form of an animatic as well as embedding our song choice along with it.

Moodboard


For our moodboard: we mainly searched for bands which follow our conventions; aspirational appearances - what we want our artist to look like. We found ideologies and examples of logos to help us create and design our logo.

First Photo Shoot






These are the photographs we gathered during the half term. We managed to capture photographs of the main location and photographs of our band in the the desired location. We experimented with the lighting and contrast to capture different results for our potential genre - alternative rock. We also experimented with the location for our photographs, inside and outside to see which would appeal most to our genre and artist. As a group; we prefer the majority of the images which were taken inside with the light which we experimented with.

Audience Profiling - Psychographics and Demographics

As a group, we thought about particular conventions which would be required to form a relationship with our demographics. We created a list if psychographics which link to the bands perspective of things they like.
